Dave McDonald (image, top left), founder and head coach for Ultra Throw, broke the BC Masters record in the Super Weight at the Patti Petesch Seattle Parks Preview Track & Field Meet on 1 June, 2024. Dave achieved a distance of 8.25m! The previous record was was 8.13m.
Dave was joined by other Ultra Throw members: Harnek Toor, Mohan Bains and Dave Ulis. The Ultra Crew did very well at the event:
Dave M: Gold in Hammer; Gold in SWT (Record)
Mohan: Silver in Hammer; Gold in Shot; Gold in Discus; Gold in Javelin; Gold in Weight
Dave U: Silver in Discus; Gold in Javelin
Harnek Toor: Silver in Hammer; Bronze in Shot; Bronze in Discus; Silver in Javelin; Silver in Weight; Bronze in Super Weight; and Gold in Long Jump.
It was a good start being the first outdoor Meet of the season, and should pave a way for improved standards during BC Masters Track & Field Championship slated for later this month in Kelowna.
