Ultra Throw Athletes Shine at BC Championships

Ultra Throw was proud to have athletes represent the club at the 2025 BC Athletics Track & Field Championships, held at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam from July 4–6. Competing against some of the top talent from across the province, our athletes rose to the challenge and delivered strong performances in their respective events.

Congrats to Meagan Mckay for taking a Bronze in the U20 Heptathlon with a score of 3663.

Sebastian Body (U18)

  • Hammer Throw: 39.19m

Dianna Debanks (U16)

  • Discus: 21.47m

  • Javelin: 21.70m

Vanessa Debanks (U16)

  • Discus: 28.54m

  • Javelin: 23.34m

Ethan Lau (U16)

  • Shot Put: 10.36m

  • Discus: 33.21m

Kailey McKay (U20)

  • Heptathlon: 2,941 points

Meagan McKay (U20)

  • Heptathlon: 3,663 points (Bronze medal)

Arshdeep Singh (Senior)

  • Hammer Throw: 32.91m

Shawn Stevens (Senior)

  • Discus: 31.19m

  • Hammer Throw: 31.38m

Megan Teolis (U18)

  • Hammer Throw: 47.09m (Bronze medal)

Whether it was setting personal bests or just gaining valuable experience on the provincial stage, we’re incredibly proud of each of our athletes. A big thank-you goes out to BC Athletics and all the officials and volunteers who made this weekend of competition possible.
